Notes
This is the initial 5 CD set of Crystal Ball. It was only available to purchase through 1-800-NEW-FUNK, by telephone or online pre-order. The production of the set was limited to 250,000 packages.The album came in a 3-part round clear polyurethane plastic case, designed to emulate a crystal ball. The package consisted of three components: a convex lid, a semi-circle carriage with grooves to hold each of the five discs, and a bottom tray marked with: "© 1997 NPG Records" only.
The purpose of the custom-packaging was to enhance the value of this limited-edition release, and prevent the possibility of bootlegging.
The artwork and an online lyric book was made available on Prince's 'crystalballcd' website for customers to print their own artwork.
In addition to the 3 disc Crystal Ball album, this package included The Truth, an acoustic album, and Kamasutra, an instrumental recording inspired by the NPG Dance Company.
The version of P. Control included is a remix, different to the album version from The Gold Experience.
