Early Out Takes And Demos

Tracks 1-9 : part of a demo recorded 1964/65 which resulted in Roy Harper's first recording contract. Recorded on an old mono Ferrograph quarter inch tape machine.
Track 10 : re-recording of a track on that demo that no longer exists. It was made in Pierre Tubbs' studio in stereo and became the B-side of Roy's first single.
Tracks 11 & 13 : second Roy's single
Track 12 : single contender that didn't make the cut.
Track 14 : out-take of the Folkjokeopus sessions recorded in 1968 that didn't make the final selection for the album.
Track 15 : from Roy Harper's third single, recorded in 1967.
Track 16 : recorded 1967, another single reject.
Track 17 : goes back to 1965/66 and is the A-side of Roy's first single.

Only 3 people are credited in Roy Harper's sleeve notes, for playing in the later tracks, but no details on which ones. Other participating musicians are forgotten. "Belated thanks to these guys and to the others who were around and took part. I wish someone had taken notes - RH."
Other musicians (bass, drums, piano, keys, strings, brass) are heard playing with Roy on tracks : 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.
