Notes

Interruption Songs is the second album from Kontrolorgan. It uses synths, bells, drums, electronics and singing to conjure dronescapes with psychedelic undercurrents, thus building on the outline already present in Kontrolorgan's earlier work. Interruption Songs is, however, a more structured entity than previous releases. Some parts are improvised while others are tightly sequenced. Most lie somewhere in between while exploring themes concerning imagination and the suspension of functional time in artistic rituals. Almost all tracks feature manipulated samples from field recordings originally recorded by Christopher Aaby and Frederik Højlund. Christian Davidsen plays cymbals on 'Mythology Loops'. Rasmus Aaen plays upright bass on 'Mythology Loops' and 'Disappearance Song'. Limited to 25 copies.
