Nothing Will Be Alright is the sophomore release from Smash Telly dynamo, Jah Connery, offered as a free download by Modern Knot Dot. Nothing, somewhat of a departure from what was done on Escape Velocity, is an incredibly versatile album. The contrast between Genesis to Present Tense, a playful ode to Connery's artistic friendships, and the nihilistic title track is cushioned nicely by Connery's soulful production. Smash Tel contributor, Leaf Erikson, rounds out the song Right On with wisdom not necessarily expected by those familiar with Smash Tel, or his other project Stoopz n' Breeze. Also featuring are 101 Alumni Duece Freight and Grimm Picasso. Hopefully Nothing Will Be Alright won't serve as an anthem to an increasingly apathetic generation, but serve instead as a warning. Hopefully everything will be just fine.
