By demand of Ellen from Cardboard Cowboys I tried to make shorter songs. So these are songs but I could not keep the 4 minute limit.

I asked my daughter to draw the cover loosely based on Miles Davis On the Corner. Then I made the back cover with the insert cover of the first Hawkwind album in mind but put it in a recent setting.

That was the start of this album. It took me more than a year to write and record the songs. In the meantime making other albums with much longer songs to compensate the limits set up for this one. I'm very pleased with the result. The titeltrack was inspired by the TV soap The wire. The other songs are some sort of continuation of A state of mind and Deadlock.
