Notes
• A2: live, 5 Okt '85, Venlo.• A3 recorded and mixed Feb. '86 at "Joke's Koeienverhuurbedrijf" EMMA Amsterdam.
• B5: p, c, 1986. zowiso.
• D3 incorrectly listed as "Doppio Confronte" on gatefold spread (correct on booklet).
"The 30 bands on this album are only a cross-section: each gave one song to make these records possible. Some of them have already appeared on their own records, but most of the material is new. Some are recorded live, some in the studio (most in Emma's Koeienverhuurbedrijf)."

Issued in a gatefold sleeve. Gatefold spread features extensive liner notes on "Emma" independent concert hall in Dutch/English.
Included is a 32-page A4-sized booklet (one artist per page): 'EMMA De Provokatie'.
Other excerpts from the sleeve notes:
"Emma is an independent concert hall where, since November 25, 1984 (the date it was squatted) a large group of people have been working hard to give more meaning to one of the main ideas of the punk / squatter movement, the idea of self-support / self-management. Besides a large and a small concert hall (capacity 600 and 200 persons respectively) there is also a café-restaurant, rehearsal rooms for 15 bands, and two recording studios -- one of which is the Koeienverhuurbedrijf (Cow Rental Company)."
"In general, up until now, many hardcore and punkbands have played. These bands have often played free for benefit concerts... And there are a growing number of bands (playing other kinds of music too) who will play on Emma's conditions: you play for what comes in at the door, in general no minimum guarantee (but if the income at the door is low, it is often supplemented by the bar and that's the way it should be), and there are no contracts signed. If a band comes out of Lutjebroek (Holland) or out of New York (USA), it doesn't matter."
