The selections on this cassette were recorded at home on a Teac 4-track cassette portastudio in late 1982 and 1983. All percussion is Linn Drum Computer or Roland TR-606. Electric guitar and bass guitar are the only other instruments present---no synthesizer or keyboards. I played all the instruments and programmed the drum machines.

Most of these pieces were made as technical exercises for the purpose of mastering the use of the Linn. In a way they were studies for Fred Frith and my WHO NEEDS ENEMIES? album. Many of the pieces, though, were made purely for my entertainment and pleasure. I never intended for anyone other than myself to hear any of this stuff. I hope you'll find it entertaining and amusing. Thanks to John Oswald for making it available.
