Limited cassette single for "The Absurd Man" a track from the then-recently released second album from The Screamer called "My Dad's Alive.... And He's Gonna Take It Some More". Like the first Screamer album, Screamer handles all instruments and vocals except im this case where he handed lyric and vocal duties to a singer listed only as "the charming Larissa". The session for "The Absurd Man" with Larissa went so well that he wrote 2 new songs exclusively for her to write and sing on.

This began a trend of Screamer collaborating with various female singers under the name Spatula (also the name of a Screamer song), which released a compilation in 2011 that spans his work with 4 singers througout the 90s, the earliest being the 1990 Larissa sessions, that were included even though they were originally released as The Screamer, they led directly to the formation of Spatula.

The inlay states that the B-side songs, recorded to be exclusive to this single are "Unavailable eslewhere, not even where you got them from!"
